Freelance Sr Economist/Modeller E&P sector

For one of our clients, in the Exploration & Production (upstream) business, we are looking for a Senior Economist with modelling skills. The expected duration of the assignment is approximately 6-12 months (full time or 4 days a week is also possible). The start will be asap.

Due to the unexpected but persistent high demand on economic screenings, and further driven by the extensive requirements of project executions and HQ approval processes, our client requires an upgrade of its capacity of economics. The current capacity if Economics is only 0,25 FTE.

Key tasks would be:

• Continuously, as new information (inputs) become available, screen and re-screen the various projects that have been identified in the course of the planning cycle (possibilities)
• Support all economic deliverables related to the Business Plan and MT processes
• Build dynamic models in Palantir CASH for each hub area with associated reportings for external use (NPV, IRR, EMV)
• Build knowledge on Palantir and support upgrade processes
• Take ownership of and create the internal economics process (delivery of data, reporting, audit post screening)
• Answer KNOC wide requests for information for the various FM’s submitted insofar it concerns economics.
• Act as a source of knowledgeable information on economics and screening process.
• Perform a myriad of scoping economics for the (many) potential ventures of the Dutch branch.
• Support and align with the wider clients group as required.

• Minimal Bachelor or Master degree (Business Economics or Applied Mathematics;
• Previous experience in an comparable freelance assignment;
• Upstream experience is a plus;
• Familiair with Palantir CASH.
