Freelance Financial Analyst

For one of our clients we are looking for a Freelance Financial analyst

Reporting to the corporate cost team lead, the Cost Allocation Analyst is responsible for maintaining and developing the global cost allocation model. This role also hold responsibility for understanding all policies relating to the allocation of costs and ability to explain policies, procedures & complex cost methodologies to others (both to internal and external stakeholders).

• Monitor and analyze steps in the (monthly) cost allocation process

• Maintain and develop the cost allocation model

• Closely cooperate with and advice FSSC (who runs the actual cost allocation in SAP)

• Answer internal customer questions regarding outcome and interpretation of cost allocation (allocated expense or revenue etc.) in an accurate and timely manner

• Ad hoc cost analysis to support business decisions

• Utilize financial reporting tools (SAP & SAP BPC) to build queries and reports to supply internal clients with cost information on a regular basis or as requested

• Pro-actively look to streamline analysis and/or cost allocation processes

• Analyze time writing, being one of the key drivers for the cost allocation

• Assist on projects

• Maintain documentation of cost allocation and processes

• Responsible and focal point for cost allocation audits

• Master degree in finance or relevant field strongly preferred

• Minimum 7-10 years’ experience with complex cost allocation models

• Strong knowledge of SAP (FICO)

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal (English)

• Able to generate budgets and reports

• Experience managing small to medium projects

• Experience working with databases, retrieving data from multiple tables and maintenance of mapping labels

• Experience with Excel (pivot tables, graphs, & charts)

• Demonstrate problem solving abilities including identifying critical issues and problem resolution

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities and projects while producing accurate and thorough work
